Built in 1952 Marlena is an ideal example of the Lacco built Couta boats.
Kauri planked with Spotted gum frames, Laccos methods were known as the
best in traditional boatbuilding.
These days Marlena is known for her impressive Division 2 race results
including season winner at the Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club and a
Portsea Cup to her name.
Having been well maintained and with a number of upgrades and
improvements over the years, Marlena is well suited to those looking to get
involved in the Couta Boat racing, wooden boat enthusiasts, or just a great allrounder
for some fun on the water with friends and family.
