Bosuns
We are currently looking for Bosuns to work with our incredible on-water team during the upcoming season.
We have two levels available, please let us know in your application your motivation and powerboat handling experience.
Level 1 Bosun
The Role
This role will mainly be rostered during the summer school holidays. Key responsibilities are to provide ferrying services to our members and support Maintenance and Venue Operations where needed.
Qualifications
You hold a Marine License and have previously gained on-water experience driving ducks and powerboats. Before your first day of work, we will give you powerboat handling training to make sure that you are well prepared for the work at SSCBC.
Level 2 Bosun
The Role
This is an ongoing role throughout the season, mainly on Saturdays and Sundays, and also on weekdays during summer holidays. The key responsibility is to help prepare and deliver racing on our race days. This includes, but is not limited to, mark and tackle set-up, preparation of race management vessels, race management support on the water as mark layer and/or safety boat.
Qualifications
You hold a Marine License and are a confident and competent powerboat driver with skills equivalent to at least a Powerboat Handling Certificate. While you are working with us, we will build your skills further in powerboat handling, race management, and safety boat operations.
