SSCBC Announcement

It is with mixed feelings we announce that Adam Hawkins, our Sailing Operations Manager, will be leaving SSCBC in January.

Adam has been with the Club for just over three years and has done an incredible job managing all of our racing and boating related activities. Adam looks after all activities across our Couta boat fleet, dinghies, coaching and sail training and manages the Bosuns and Volunteers, not to mention assists with the delivery of all regattas hosted by the Club.

Adam also manages the Club’s assets and is often seen up a ladder fixing a light or up to his armpits in grease fixing a boat! His knowledge of sailing and boats is second to none, and his ability to motivate and lead the younger staff to get the job done, often under pressure, is a to be commended.

Adam and his family are moving interstate and have an exciting time ahead of them, and we wish him every success in his future endeavours. He will be sadly missed.
