Right of Way Rules (there are only four) are covered in this week’s seminar. Although that is what people are most interested in, they don’t make any sense unless one knows what the definitions within those rules mean.

The right of way rules cover the four physical relationships between boats. They are ‘Golden Rules’ as they don’t fully switch off when other rules such as mark room or room to pass an obstruction apply or when two OCS boats are returning to the start.
Next week we will explore the General Limitations on a Right Of Way boat – she can’t do absolutely anything she wants to.
