At World Sailing’s Mid-Year meeting, the new Sailing Events for the Paris 2024 Olympics were decided.
New Event, Mixed One-Person Dinghy

The choice of events enables a completely gender balanced competition and seems pretty clever that this has been done by an increase in the number of mixed events that will have benefits for inclusion across the sport.
Submission M22 was finally agreed on after a run-off and head to head vote against M18 which nearly saw a mixed Keelboat selected.
Now that the event formats have been selected, the jockeying begins for what classes and equipment will be used.
