SSCBC Clubhouse Closure Due To COVID Case

Dear Members,

The Club has been made aware that three employees who worked in the dining room and on reception yesterday, 28 December, from 9am – 9pm, have tested positive to COVID-19 with a Rapid Antigen Test. All staff who are classified as workplace contacts are testing and isolating. We will keep you informed of further developments, once PCR results are known or any further advice is received from the Department of Health and Human Services.

The employees were following standard COVID protocols and were wearing masks.

The Club is following the appropriate procedures and would like to advise all Members and guests who attended the Clubhouse yesterday, 28 December, that you may have been exposed and it is recommended you follow the Government guidelines here: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/  We ask any member who tests positive to COVID-19 as a result of visiting the Club yesterday to please advise us as soon as possible.

The Galley, Couta’s Fish & Chips and the Clubhouse remains closed today and tomorrow (29 & 30 December) we will communicate further with you about when we will be able to reopen. 

Pommery Summer Drinks will proceed tonight, as the event is outdoors and the catering is outsourced to a team who are yet to arrive at the Club.

The Sailing Centre courses due to occur this afternoon and tomorrow will continue as planned, due to being outside.

SSCBC follows all Victorian Government guidelines and remains committed to the health and wellbeing of all of our Members, guests and staff. A deep clean of the Clubhouse will occur later today. As always, we ask any Member who tests positive to COVID-19 and has visited the Club whilst infectious to please advise us as soon as possible.
