1892 All Comers Lunch – Meeting Old and New Friends
Friday 24 May at 12noon
Not everyone plays golf; not everyone goes to Port Douglas or Noosa and the winter months keep many Members hibernating.
So, cancel golf, reschedule Noosa and Port Douglas and come to the warmth of the first 1892 All Comers Lunch at SSCBC on Friday 24 May at 12noon!
This lunch is open to ALL MEMBERS and their friends.
Why 1892 All Comers Lunch?
1892 is the date of the first Sorrento Regatta. This was a celebration regatta that welcomed all comers. Fishing boats, including our own iconic Couta Boats were invited to race and celebrate in our shores from Queenscliffe to Rye.
The Couta Boat was the doyen of Victoria’s fishing industry.
And for our first 1892 All Comers Lunch, we will be entertained by a doyen of the Australian Television Industry!
PETER WYNNE, a Member of our SSCBC, will be unashamedly name dropping and regaling us with tales from 40 years of directing and producing Australian TV. Peter is a classic raconteur. He has produced and directed shows for Channel 9 such as Midday with Ray Martin, Carols by Candlelight, the TV Logies and many specials with stars like John Farnham, Don Lane, Bert Newton, Kylie Minogue, Elle McPherson, Sir Don Bradman and many international stars.
Please spread the word and join in.
Book by putting your name down at reception.
