Salty Squad is the gateway for young sailors, aged 7 and up, who are ready to embark on their sailing journey with SSCBC. As the first step into the club’s sailing programs, Salty Squad offers new sailors who own their own boat a chance to develop essential skills on the water,
connect with other young sailors, and become a part of the broader SSCBC community. Designed with beginner sailors in mind, the program emphasises hands-on experience, confidence-building, and having fun on the water while also introducing them to the world of club sailing.
An important part of joining Salty Squad is owning a boat. Owning their own boat allows each sailor to practice with consistency, become familiar with their vessel, and fully engage in all club activities from the outset. Having their own boat also helps young sailors develop responsibility and pride in caring for their equipment.

Because summer is such a popular time on the water, we recommend reaching out well in advance to secure your spot.
